A central element in our company's sustainability journey is the involvement of all employees, not only in terms of information, but also in terms of active participation.
Among the most significant projects in this regard are sustainable mobility initiatives, such as company carpooling.
We are proud to be among the pioneers of this activity, which in addition to its positive impact on the environment has aroused immediate interest in the company and met with great success.

CARPOOLING ACCORDING TO VALSIR
The service consists of providing all colleagues with an online service, managed via an app, through which they can organise their home-work and work-work journeys independently.
In practice, on the basis of availability, shifts, and entry and exit times, each employee can check who has a route compatible with theirs, so they can make a parking space available or take advantage of a lift from someone who has a free seat in their car.
This project provides for a reward system whereby, based on the kilometres saved (i.e. shared by travelling with colleagues), employees can accumulate economic rewards that can be converted into petrol coupons or vouchers that can be spent through a series of marketplaces and online platforms.

ELECTRIC MOBILITY
This is another central theme that we have decided to 'make our own' with a series of dedicated initiatives.
Valsir, in fact, wants to support electric mobility in the home-work journeys of its employees who own or decide to purchase a full electric car. For these employees, recharging stations are made available (located in the car parks of the plants where these employees are employed) where they can recharge their cars free of charge for 2 years.
Thanks to this idea, our employees covered 15,382 km in full-electric mode during 2022.
