Rainplus
THE IDEAL SOLUTION FOR RAINWATER DRAINAGE
DOCUMENTS AND RESOURCES
Rainplus represents state-of-the-art technology for the drainage and collection of rainwater from the roofs of medium and large buildings.
The system makes use of the height of the building as a driving force, which, combined with a vacuum effect, allows high drainage speeds to be achieved, thereby maximising drainage efficiency. This is how Rainplus is able to handle even extreme and sudden rainfall, preventing damage or flooding of the underlying structures.
Rainplus allows the entire drainage flow rate to be channelled to any area of the building, to facilitate the recovery and reuse of rainwater. This action is not only required by the Green Building Council's directives, but made more and more topical by the issue of climate emergency.
The Rainplus siphonic drainage system consists of special collection sumps (or collectors) - patented, engineered and tested in accordance with ASME A112.6.9 and EN 1253 - connected to high-density polyethylene (HDPE) pipes. The collectors can be installed on any type of roof and waterproofing sheath.
ADVANTAGES OF
THE RAINPLUS SYSTEM
COST REDUCTIONS
Rainplus is fully efficient even with a small number of traps, and does not require large-diameter pipes. The number of waste stacks required is also limited, resulting in an overall saving of 20-30% compared to a conventional system of equal performance.
SPACE OPTIMISATION
The collectors are connected to individual horizontal collectors which do not require any slope while the waste stacks are positioned on the perimeter of the building, reducing system interference. The overall footprint is therefore much smaller than that of a traditional system.
HIGH PERFORMANCE
Thanks to the total filling of pipes, very high drainage speeds are achieved, which allow extremely high rainfall intensities to be handled and guarantee self-cleaning of the system.
ECO-SUSTAINABILITY
Rainplus allows the flow to be easily channelled to a banding accumulator system. This way, rainwater can be collected and reused in irrigation systems and for filling fire-fighting tanks or cisterns for non-potable water.
DESIGN FLEXIBILITY
The complete control over the positioning of the waste stacks and the absence of underground collectors allow ample freedom in the design of the siphonic system, which can be easily installed on any medium to large building.
ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY
Rainplus is produced from recyclable materials that can be sent for recovery at the end of its life, and is based on energy-efficient processes with reduced the ecological impact. It is installed with just a few components, thereby cutting transport costs and reducing the amount of CO2 released into the atmosphere.
