THE SAFEST AND MOST EFFICIENT SYSTEM FOR CREATING DUCT BANKS

Duct banks are systems made up of pipe bundles, usually plastic and buried, through which various types of cables (fibre optics, power lines, telecommunications, etc.) are fed. Depending on the number of pipes and the distance to be covered, duct banks can be very large, with inspection chambers located several kilometres apart.
These systems serve to protect the cables inside them against mechanical stresses and moisture, thus preventing potential oxidation damage. However, in traditional installations it is difficult to ensure a watertight seal between the duct bank and the inspection chamber, which can lead to water seepage and, in the most severe cases, the flooding of the chambers themselves. In such situations, the only solution is to pump out the water, which can be extremely expensive. The Polimask system – designed in combination with PPEcoforte pipes – has been developed to solve this problem. It is available in two versions: Polimask 110 and Polimask 160.

INSTALLATION SPEED
The positioning and alignment of the pipes, the water tightness check, and the assembly of all the components are carried out in a single step.
MULTIPLE UNIT INSTALLATION
It is very easy to align and connect multiple Polimask devices, even if they are of different sizes.
FLEXIBILITY
Polimask 110 is suitable for thicknesses from 150 mm to 370 mm; Polimask 160, on the other hand, is suitable for walls from 150 mm to 580 mm.
CALIBRATED STEP
The laying pace promotes complete distribution of the concrete, eliminates air and facilitates coverage of the formwork using a 50 mm vibrator.
PROTECTIVE CAPS
The built-in caps ensure cleanliness and absence of debris in the pipe connection areas.
DOUBLE SEALING
Double o-ring stub pipes ensure a double seal between the mask and the piping.

Laying and fitting the pipes
The Polimask system includes a bracket for positioning and aligning the pipes with maximum precision: it is designed to ensure the correct distribution of the concrete and the elimination of air using a vibrator, and is equipped with connectors and support bases that allow for multiple brackets to be connected, in order to create large duct banks.
