PEXAL GAS
THE MULTILAYER SYSTEM FOR FUEL GAS
Pexal Gas is a multilayer pipe and fitting system for the transport of fuel gas in the domestic sector: international certifications obtained over the years on the Pexal Gas system in Italy, Australia, New Zealand and Ukraine testify to its reliability and quality.
Valsir offers the widest range of diameters on the market, from 16 to 75 mm, available both in bars and in rolls already equipped with a protective, self-extinguishing and UV-resistant corrugated sheath in class 320 in accordance with EN 61386.
The advantages of synthetic materials and aluminium
The prerogative of multilayer piping is to exploit the winning properties of several materials, the performance of which is combined to achieve performance which is otherwise unattainable using plastic or metal piping systems.
ADVANTAGES OF
THE PEXAL GAS SYSTEM
RESISTANT TO CORROSION
The total resistance to corrosion, to building materials and to the main chemical compounds allows its use for a number of applications, including industrial applications.
EXCELLENT FLEXIBILITY
The combination of cross-linked polyethylene and aluminium guarantees excellent flexibility during bending (even by hand) and long-term shape stability.
SOUND INSULATION
The elasticity of cross-linked polyethylene provides excellent vibration absorption and therefore excellent sound insulation.
REDUCED PRESSURE LOSS
The extremely smooth internal surface, as well as preventing the formation of deposits ensures reduced pressure loss also with the passage of time.
GUARANTEED FOR 50 YEARS
The system has a guaranteed product durability of at least 50 years, during which time its use is permitted at pressures of 10 bar and temperatures of up to 95°C.
COMPLETE RANGE
The range of gas fittings (available in both metal and technopolymer materials), accessories and related equipment is extremely wide and allows any requirement to be covered.
BARRIER AGAINST OXYGEN AND LIGHT
The butt welded aluminium layer represents a full barrier to oxygen and light, which favours the formation of algae in plastic pipes only and corrosion of the metal parts making up the system.
IDEAL SOLUTION IN AREAS SUBJECT TO EARTHQUAKES
Pexal Gas is the ideal solution in areas subject to earthquakes thanks to the excellent mechanical properties such as flexibility and the capacity to alleviate vibrations.
LIGHTWEIGHT
The Pexal Gas pipes are extremely light compared to metal pipes: the weight is 1/3 of that of a corresponding copper pipe and 1/10 of that of a corresponding steel pipe.
WIDE RANGE OF DIAMETERS
Pexal is an extremely complete range, including multilayer pipes ranging from 16 mm to 75 mm, for the creation of any type of system.
THERMAL EXPANSION
The thermal expansion that normally affects the pipe in operation is about 8 times less than that of plastic pipes and is comparable to that of metal pipes.
ECO-SUSTAINABILITY
Pexal Gas is produced with recyclable materials and energy-efficient processes with reduced environmental impact, according to Green Building principles
Pexal Gas is a complete system
The range consists of pipes in 5 m bars in diameters from 16 to 75 mm, in 100 m coils up to diameter 32 mm, and in 50 m coils with self-extinguishing and UV-resistant corrugated sheathing up to diameter 26 mm.
The system is completed by a wide range of 'multi-press' fittings (U, C, TH, H, B, F, VAL) and a series of useful accessories to create the system, such as branching manifolds, recessed shut-off valves and meters and boxes for housing the fittings.
