Floor heating panels are one of the key elements in the distribution of heat within rooms. They act as a base for laying pipes and determine the thermal and acoustic performance of the radiant heating system. Choosing a specific panel for underfloor heating means investing in technology that maximises the performance of the system, reducing heat loss and facilitating installation.
Key features of a radiant panel
Materials such as expanded polystyrene (EPS) guarantee conductivity and insulation. The key features are: thermal insulation, compression resistance, soundproofing properties and sustainability.
Valsir panels designed for residential applications are divided into the following families:
- V-ERRE: versatile, embossed geometry, easy to install
- V-ERRE0: for very low thicknesses
- V-ESSE: high resistance and sound insulation
Differences between V-ERRE, V-ERRE0 and V-ESSE
The differences lie in the thickness, applications and performance. The V-ERRE range is the most versatile and universal, suitable for new buildings of any type and for most renovations; V-ERRE0 is the ideal solution when height restrictions apply; V-ESSE, on the other hand, is the line developed for multi-storey buildings or acoustically sensitive environments.
V-ERRE
EPS panel with bosses for easy fixing of pipes to the ground. Excellent insulation and available in different thicknesses (from 10 to 60 mm). Perfectly compatible with Mixal and Thermoline pipes.
V-ERRE0
Without insulation (only 5 mm of screed above the boss), it reduces installation to less than three cm. Ideal for historic contexts or where the height available for installation is very limited.
V-ESSE
High resistance, protected surface, 75 mm installation spacing and therefore suitable for heating-only systems. Available in various thicknesses (20 and 30 mm).
Panel laying and installation
The typical stratigraphy consists of: moisture barrier film, insulating panel, pipes, anti-shrinkage mesh, screed.
All the panels mentioned guarantee compliance with UNI EN ISO 13163, CE marking, excellent energy performance and are all “Made in Italy” products. To meet the requirements of the CAM decree, the VERRE EVO or CAM series panels are the optimal solution.
