These are only some of the excellent features of polyphenylsulfone (PPSU), a polymer derived from the automotive, aerospace and medical industries, which has also become widely used in the thermohydraulics industry. It has proved ideal in this field for all the main applications related to water distribution (PPSU is obviously certified for the transport of drinking water).

We have designed two types of fittings with this exceptional plastic material: Pexal Easy (a full bore solution including the “socketing” of the multilayer pipe) and Bravopress, which uses the traditional steel sleeve for pressing.

Bravopress makes it possible to enjoy all the advantages of the technopolymer without any modification to the methods for installing the fitting: it is compatible with the most common pressing profiles (H, TH, U, C, VAL) and is available in diameters from 16 to 63 mm.

Additionally, like the other press fittings, it features the “Unpressed leaking” technology to indicate leaks due to incomplete pressing during testing of the system, and features control holes on the sleeve and transparent bottom ring to easily check that pipe insertion is correct.

Bravopress is also “certified” in terms of eco-sustainability: the EPD declaration attesting the reduced environmental impact involved in the production of fittings according to a complete LCA analysis is available. This implies not only the monitoring and optimisation of production stages, but also a careful evaluation of the whole life cycle of the product, from the purchasing of the raw materials to disposal and recycling of the components at the end of their life.
