We believe that it is necessary to maintain an extreme level of quality in order to compete in an increasing and demanding market. For this reason the keystone of Valsir corporate philosophy is a meticulous attention to quality demonstrated by the ISO 9001 certification.
In February 2001, Valsir was the first company in Italy and one of the first in Europe, in the plumbing and heating sector, to obtain the ISO 9001 certification.
Over 200 product approvals (last update 01/12/2021) attest the quality of the Valsir products. This is an additional guarantee of product reliability certified not only by the producer but also by authorized Institutes, according to international standards.
Being certified with more than 200 product approvals means that we are visited several times a year from each certification Institute, and that production is constantly monitored.
Few years ago Valsir built its own quality control laboratories in order to maintain high quality standards. The laboratories are constantly upgraded according to the latest technologies and are among the most advanced in the plumbing and heating industry.
Each single component is subjected to tests that go far beyond the requirements of the most severe standards. For example the flush cisterns pass these tests after 600,000 cycles despite the standard requires a test of “only” 200,000 cycles.
Furthermore, during the production process, samples are randomly selected from each department and are subjected to the most severe laboratory tests.
Valsir was founded in 1987, on the basis of a precise industrial strategy adopted by the Silmar Group - a holding that is leader in the plumbing and heating market with a sales turnover of over 1.2 billion Euro and over 3,500 employees - with factories in Italy, in Valsabbia to the north of Brescia and abroad in Portugal, Poland, Russia, Romania, the Ukraine, France, Australia and South Africa.
Valsir is today a solid and expanding firm within a group whose true points of cohesion and strength lie within a strong sense of collaboration and the contribution of specific professional skills of each single component.

Valsir believes in the strength of innovation and for this reason every year invests approximately 3.5% of its turnover in Research and Development. In Valsir, plant parts and molds are designed and constructed thanks to the internal experience of staff that allow all the phases of the innovation process to tracked, also thanks to the extensive use of the most modern technologies available on the market. Valsir has always been committed to manufacture recyclable products and the implementation of sustainable processes, in line with the most advanced Green Building principles (green building and environmentally friendly project design), and today boasts highly sustainable production plants which, thanks to the use of renewable energies and planning that aims at the conservation of resources, have obtained the energy certi cation in class A.
The consistency of Valsir’s commitment is shown by its product approvals which amount to over 160 in total obtained around the world from the most severe certification bodies (figure updated on 06/02/2013), and by the quality system in compliance with the European Standard UNI EN ISO 9001:2008.

The materials and colours for the external finishes were chosen in order to achieve a correct integration with the surrounding environment, obtaining a perfect union with the narrow Valle Sabbia and reducing the visual impact to a minimum.
The entire building is perfectly insulated in order to reduce energy loss to a minimum and designed in such a way as to take full advantage of natural sunlight for illumination purposes.
A total of 1,000 kW of photovoltaic panels were installed on the roof in addition to the 1,000 Kw photovoltaic installation that was fitted in 2011 on the premises in Vestone.
From a systems point of view, the building was designed in order to make the best use of energy sources and to reduce consumption to a minimum. All the internal surfaces are heated with a low temperature floor heating system that is fed by a heat pump, which at the same time produces refrigerated water for the production processes. In this way, one single energy source satisfies two demands contemporarily.
On the outside 60 km of pipe were installed, which, in winter, cool at zero cost the water used in production while also acting as a snowmelt system for the outside areas. The new production centre in Vobarno is one of the first European factories in energy class A.
