Surface mounting of pipes requires the use of suitable brackets that must withstand the weight of the pipe, the weight of the waste water and the forces that are generated by expansion and contraction. In relation to the type of bracketing chosen, the so-called guide points and fixed points (or anchor points of the pipeline) must be provided. In all cases, if the waste system is required to reduce noise then sound reducing brackets with anti-vibration rubber must be used.

If the waste system is constructed using Triplus® or Silere® then the employment of sound insulating pipe brackets is essential.

Guide points

Guide points are created using brackets which, as well as supporting the weight of the pipe, they also allow the axial movement of the pipe, preventing it from flexing due to the increases in length caused by heat expansion, following increases in the temperature of the room and the waste water

Guide points are created when the bracket is not tightened completely around the circumference of the pipe, giving it free axial movement.

Fixed points

Fixed points are also called anchor points and are created in order to prevent any movement of the pipe in the area where the bracket has been fixed. The aim of the fixed point is to divert the variations in length of the pipe in the desired direction, that is, towards the ring seal sockets, the expansion sockets or towards the compensation deflection arms.

Fixed points are usually achieved by using suitable brackets that are closed tightly around the circumference of the pipe.

Collarwings

Valsir Collarwings is the new range of fire stop collars produced in compliance with the most recent standards and suitable for installation on plastic waste and drainage pipes. The Collarwings fire stop collars are made of steel and painted with polyester powder fitted with special intumescent inserts which, in the event of fire, expand and squeeze the pipe thus preventing the passage of flames, combustion gas and vapours and acting as a thermal insulation.

Repair using electrofusion sleeves

Damaged pipe can be repaired or existing pipes can be altered thanks to the Valsir electrofusion sleeves. Welding with electrofusion couplers is the most practical jointing method.

Support

Valsir provides complete support both during the planning phase and on site, thanks to a first-class technical office made up of a team of highly experienced engineers, capable of dealing with the most complex system requirements.
