The Valsir Tropea cistern goes pneumatic
The range of Valsir products has been enriched with the new Valsir Design product line, a wide range of control plates specifically designed for pneumatically operated flush cisterns. The new Valsir Design plates are compatible with all the flush cisterns in the Valsir Valley product line.
Tropea and Winner cisterns are actually available in the mechanical functioning version too:
should the cistern model be available in the mechanically operated version, it is possible to switch to pneumatic operation and so to the use of Valsir Design control plates, thanks to the special kit that with a few rapid steps allows the cistern to be converted.
Here are some simple instructions to complete this conversion.
Remove the mechanical plate with an upward push.
Remove the plate frame with a screwdriver and eliminate the lever holder support as it will not be required with the new plate.

Turn off the water and remove the stop valve hose.
Pull out the water level rod, remove the central block by pushing the front clip and pull out the float valve.

Lastly, remove the white anchor by pulling outward and the counterbalance with the light blue anchor bending the valve to the right.
Now the light blue rod can be removed and eliminated as can the white anchor, these components will not be required with the new plate.

Insert the lung body into the cistern making sure the PVC hoses are positioned behind the reinforced part of the cistern and secure it to the valve with a clockwise rotation.

Attach the ballast found in the pneumatic kit to the counterbalance and then insert it onto the valve, making sure the control lever is inserted properly.

Insert the white anchor which is part of the pneumatic kit, as illustrated.

Reassemble the float valve, the central block and the water level rod.

Secure the PVC hose collector to the central block, attach the new plate frame and then engage the two PVC hoses and the plate. The latter is easy to secure thanks to a screw-free attachment.

Thanks to a few simple operations the Tropea (or Winner) cistern can now be hooked up with the new line of Valsir Design control plates.
