Improved environmental performance for Valsir polypropylene pipe
Within its production processes Valsir combines meticulous attention to quality aspects and an elevated attention to sustainability and has recently completed an LCA on its Polypropylene pipe. The LCA study evaluates all aspects of the product’s life-cycle and it was carried out by Valsir’s Environment and Safety Department with the aid of an external consultant specialised in LCA, in collaboration with the Manager for New Materials Development and Valsir’s Production Manager.

Training sessions on Silvestro design software
The Silvestro design software training courses organised and held in 2011 by the team of experts in the Technical Office were very successful. Valsir, which considers training to be fundamental in order to create a successful collaboration with its clients, during the year opened a new training hall that was specifically designed for this type of course. The planners that we had the pleasure of having in our Headquarters in Vestone were able to exchange views and experiences in a professional and relaxed environment.

Download of Valsir Design control plate images
The www.valsirdesign.it website has been enhanced with the possibility of viewing and downloading the images and technical drawings of the Valsir Design WC control plates.
In the “control plate” section of the site the files in different formats: pdf, jpeg and dwg are now available. In this way, it is thus possible to download the technical drawing or image of the desired plate, from a choice of over 240 models, and to insert it in your own personalised project.

Rainplus® Overflow: Kit Emergency siphonic drainage system
According to the quality standards on the design of rainwater systems, regardless of whether they are siphonic (Rainplus®) or conventional systems, emergency systems (also known as overflow systems) must be provided that are capable of draining unexpectedly intense rainfall that exceeds the design rainfall level. Usually the standards require sizing of these systems to be based on a rainfall intensity with a return time of 100 years the value of which depends on the region in question.
